John A O'Neill
Managing Director
John has worked with JHA Ltd since 2003. John is a Chartered Architectural Technologist MCIAT and is also a registered member of the Association of Project Safety.
John is the Managing Director of the Practice and the Principal Designer for JHA Ltd. John has extensive design experience in large commercial and industrial schemes, together with office and clerical buildings, conservation, social housing, and private residential projects.
John has worked on a wide range of both private and public sector assignments from concept to completion. John has extensive experience in procuring works via various traditional and modern methods and has managed projects, from minor developments to major multi-million pound new build and refurbishment schemes.
John has a passion for sustainability and construction technology forming the link between initial concept and completion of projects.
Matthew M Stables
Associate
Matthew has worked with the practice since 2010, and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
Since qualifying as an Architectural Technologist in 2014, with a BSc(Hons) Degree in Architectural Technology, his experience as a Design Team Leader and Contract Administrator, delivering high quality construction projects, with particular focus on commercial, healthcare, disability, industrial and commercial developments has grown. Matthew deals with projects from initial briefing through to completion on site.
As a Chartered Architectural Technologist, Matthew is familiar with JCT contracts and undertakes Contract Administrator duties on projects, ensuring continual compliance with design through to project completion.
His skills range from developing designs at concept stage, to managing projects jobs on site and liaising with regulatory authorities and all members of the client, design and construction teams.
Christopher A Davie
Associate
Christopher joined the practice in June 2019 as a Chartered RIBA Architect.
Since qualifying as an Architect in 2014 Christopher has gained extensive experience in the Education and Healthcare sectors, for both public and private clients.
Being a RIBA Chartered Project Architect Christopher takes an interest in modern architecture and technologies and has a passion to realise design into functional form, working in both 2d & 3d BIM environments. His involvement in a variety of projects, at both large and small scale, have enabled him to develop a wide ranging skillset he can apply to any scheme.
Peter Czajkowskyj
RIBA Chartered Architect
Peter originally qualified as an Architectural Technologist in the Manchester office of Lewis Womersley, after which he completed a degree in Architecture at Leeds University before progressing and completing his Diploma and Part 3 at Oxford Brookes University.
After qualifying as an architect he became an Associate at Keppie Design before re-joining former colleagues to form Pulmann in 2000. Peter has since become an integral member and part of JHA Pulmann as of November 2022.
Peter is a modernist at heart but works closely with clients to deliver projects in all forms. He prefers to work closely with clients including them in the design process as part of the team, to allow them to realise their aims and will always endeavour to find ways to bring their ideas to fruition.
Peter has gained experience in many sectors from Education, Healthcare, Retail, Commercial, Residential, Refurbishment and Conservation as well as Ecclesiastical work. He aims to expand his role in client liaison in order to build on the strong team ethos created with JHA Pulmann.
David J Taylor
Senior Chartered Architectural Technologist
David has worked for the practice since 2005 and has extensive experience as Design Team Leader and Contract Administrator for a wide range of construction projects including healthcare, education, and commercial developments, and particularly specialises in large scale adaptation and new build properties to meet the requirements of people with special needs.
David is also a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
As a lead designer he manages and develops construction projects from inception to completion, assessing the needs of the client, co-ordinating associated professionals in the production of design information, and ensuring continual compliance with design/environmental/statutory/professional requirements through to project completion. As a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists, David specialises in the application of building science and technology to architectural projects and in the use of technical knowledge to provide innovative design solutions.

Brendan R Foster
Senior Architectural Technologist
Brendan has worked for the practice since 2015, and is a Senior Architectural Technologist.
Brendan started as a Trainee Architectural Technician in 2015 and has since progressed through college, achieving a HNC in Construction and the Built Environment.
Sheffield Hallam University obtaining a First Class Honours Degree in Architectural Technology.
Brendan is ACIAT accredited and currently working towards his MCIAT with guidance from senior members of the team.
Brendan has worked on a wide range of both private and public sector projects from concept to completion.
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, Brendan works closely with members of the team, mentoring and sharing his unique skillset. He shares a passion for architectural design in a modern style and is enjoying learning / developing new skills and techniques.
Jack O'Hara
Architectural Technologist
Jack Joined the JHA team in Autumn 2020. Jack graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a First Class Honour Degree in Architectural Technology.
Jack is grammar school educated and ACIAT accredited working closely with senior members of staff to expand his knowledge in all areas of construction and the built environment, to gain valuable experience of working in a busy professional practice. Jack is currently working towards his MCIAT with guidance from senior members of the team.
Jack is AutoCAD accredited and is profficient in using the latest BIM and 3D Rendering softwares using this as an aid to help with his passion for sustainable and innovative environmental design. He shares a passion for architectural design of a traditional nature. Jack enjoys adding his artistic flare to all projects which he takes part in juxtaposing traditional designs with modern methods of construction. Jack enjoys learning/ developing new skills and techniques and takes pride in ensuring that the presentation of his work is clear and well delivered playing a crucial role in delivering 3D visuals to clients. Jack designs with buildability in mind working in a 3D environment to successfully deliver and execute projects.
Jack has worked on a wide range of both private and public sector projects from concept to completion working closely with civil and process engineers on large scale industrial projects and with occupational therapists and solicitors on disabled adaptation jobs.
Lucy Deakin
Chartered Architect
Lucy joined the practice in 2022 and became chartered with the ARB and RIBA in 2024.
Prior to working at JHA, she completed a Masters in Architecture, awarded with Merit, at the University of Sheffield and a BA (Hons) in Architecture (International) at the University of Huddersfield. Through her studies, she has developed a special interest in disability adaptations—researching accessibility in architectural education during her Masters and hospital design during her undergraduate degree.
Lucy has experience across the residential, educational, and care sectors, where she has led projects through all stages of design and construction. She particularly enjoys working on disability adaptation schemes under the Court of Protection, where she is able to apply her research background to create functional and welcoming homes.
Bradley Rhodes
Part I Architectural Assistant
Bradley has worked with the practice since 2017 and is a key member of the team with multiple younger members reporting directly to him.
Since qualifying as a Part I Architectural Assistant, Bradley has gained experience competently acting as a design team leader delivering high quality design projects with a particular focus on commercial builds. Bradley deals with projects from initial design team briefing through to completion onsite having a hand in all project stages. His involvement in a variety of commercial projects, both large and small scale have enabled him to develop a wide-ranging skillset which he can apply to any scheme.
Bradley takes an interest in modern architecture and has a passion to realise design into a functional form. He is currently progressing his designs in a 2D and 3D BIM environment with support from other members of our team.
Jack Waggitt
Part I Architectural Assistant
Jack joined the JHA Pulmann branch in the new year of 2023 as a Part I Architectural Assistant. Through his study at Northumbria University, Newcastle, Jack has developed a keen eye for Adaptive Reuse Architecture. He developed on this by researching new ways of implementing sustainable design during his degree.
Jack has experience within the construction and design industry having previously worked in the property development market where he gained invaluable experience in BIM and CAD softwares. This built upon his prior knowledge gained from working as a Kitchen designer is his early career.
Jack has an appetite for architecture and aims to benefit from working with senior Architects at JHA Pulmann, working closely alongside Bradley Rhodes and Peter Czajkowskyj.
Jack hopes to complete his masters in Architecture and become a RIBA Chartered Architect in the future.
Cai Thomas
Architectural Assistant
Cai joined the team as an apprentice to our senior Architects in 2021. Since then he has come on as an Architectural Assistant playing an active role in the day to day running and management of projects under senior members of the team.
He has a passion for Architecture currently studying his Part I in Architecture at university. Cai has a working knowledge of CAD and BIM software’s utilising Revit and Enscape to achieve incredible renders.
Cai has an appetite for architecture and aims to gain lots of experience within the practice, working closely alongside our resident Architects.
Becki Sheard
Architectural Technician
Becki joined the team in March 2024 as an Architectural Technician, following a recent career change and the completion of a HNC L4 in Construction & The Built Environment at Gateshead College.
She has up-to date knowledge of the construction industry and experience with local government projects and Condition Surveying. She is looking forward to developing her skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM within the experienced JHA Team; and taking her next steps towards her goal of becoming a Chartered Architectural Technologist. Becki brings over 20 years of experience within the Education Sector to the JHA Team and has a passion for the Net Zero agenda and improving the sustainability of the Built Environment for the next generation.
Joseph Grant
Architectural Assistant
Joe has joined the team as an apprentice and is enthusiastic to develop new skills.
Whilst working closely with Architectural Technologists and acquiring new expertise, he is looking forward to what the architectural scene can challenge him with.
Joseph looks forward to working with software’s such as Revit and AutoCAD and is eager to reinvest this knowledge within the JHA team. Although it’s just the beginning of his career, he is motivated to receive his qualifications and progress to see what the future has in hold for him. With an ultimate goal to develop his skills as an Architect.
Joseph has a strong concept of making the future a greener space and looks forward to be given the chance to do so.
Carol Stone
Accounts Manager
Carol is JHA Ltd Accounts manager, Carols responsibilities include general financial management for the practice. Carol is proficient in utilising the latest in accounting software such as sage and access.
Jake Bolger
Junior Accounts Department
Jake has recently embarked on an apprenticeship focusing on gaining his AAT qualification, signalling the beginning of a promising career in accounting. Though early in his journey, Jake is quickly developing the skills required to support various accounting functions. His role may encompass a range of responsibilities, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and assisting with audits, all while adhering to industry standards. As he progresses through his apprenticeship, Jake is eager to contribute to his team and build a solid foundation for a successful career in the finance sector.
Andy Mallory
Head of Marketing
Andy has developed a significant career in Marketing and Design, gaining experience across the construction, education, healthcare, and creative industries. His marketing approach is both innovative and results-driven, showcasing proficiency in digital and traditional advertising as well as brand development.
Leading marketing initiatives at two of the leading joinery companies in the UK and through his own marketing, design and print business, Andy has significantly enhanced brand visibility and market share. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including online marketing, graphic design, marketing management, B2B marketing, social media marketing, project management, email marketing, market research, and digital marketing strategies.
Furthermore, Andy prioritises sustainability in his marketing strategies, promoting brands while adhering to eco-friendly practices. This sustainable approach aligns with modern consumer values and underscores a commitment to responsible marketing.
